Usually you can buy any gem flawless square or lesser on the AH cheaper than it would be to craft them because they drop like candy in inferno.

Rare rings and amulets with magic find @lvl 55+ usually will sell for more than 500k.

lvl 55 gear with vitality and resist all will sell on the higher end of the spectrum usually.

If you see an amulet with dext+crit dmg+dmg x-y snag that shit and resell it if it's cheap, DH's will go insane over it. Snagged one for 16k today and resold for 120k.

Check vendors when you can, some items they have (especially the vendors that occasionally have rare items) sell really well on the AH. I turned over a staff that I bought for 5k gold from the vendor for ~85k.

Edit: as an extra "Money making" note, DON'T. LEVEL. BLACKSMITHING. Biggest waste of time and money ever.

Do vendors potentially sell those 800+ dps blue weapons?

Not 100% on that Xallan, should be in Inferno tonight and I can check the "rare" vendors and see if they have them. Best thing about farming Inferno is the "requires x level lower" stat weapons with insane DPS. Can get a damn good amount for them from people who want them for their lowbies to level fast with.

Keep in mind the changing nature of the AH prices. The mid range and the low range are dropping in value while the high end is rising. This is due to multiple factors. More people are able to farm low-mid range loot tables, flooding the market. More people are already equipped with low-mid range gear lowering the demand for those items. More people are becoming aware of the definition of what makes an item truly rare and powerful or what makes them common and mediocre. The richest of AH goers are becoming rich enough to pay the full value of high end items, so sellers are setting their buyouts accordingly.

A lot of these factors are similar to what happens in the D2 ladder season. At the beginning of the season, trade variety is scarce so prices fluctuate wildly. And no one has enough high runes to pay for the really good stuff so the good stuff is devalued.

No vendors do not sell 800+ dps weapons in inferno, atleast not in act 1 or act 2. They generally lack the +insane amount of damage to pump up the dps.

I buy low and sell high. You hear it all the time when talking about making money, but it's incredible how much you can make just by reposting things. I made around 10 mil last night without selling a single item I found myself.

Been farming Siegebreaker last night and a bit tonight, depending on luck you can get some 900-1k dps weapons to sell, but that requires at least 3 stacks of Neph depending on your magic find gear, and even then 1/2 the time you have to run to east bumfuck to find enough elite packs to stack to 3. =/

I am currently missing out on the RMAH selling frenzy... because apparently blizz requires that users have an authenticator to use the RMAH, and any authenticator will do, JUST NOT THE DIAL-IN AUTHENTICATOR.

Buddy of mine made ~62 bucks selling 1200 dps weapons and legendary set gear.

I won't really bother with it since farming has become less and less fun lately (even though it was minimally fun in the first place). Just been leveling alt classes through nightmare and playing other games.
