I'm unable to get my game to start.  When I use the launcher it says unable to get patching information.  When I go in through the .exe file, it says unable to connect to server.  Been having this prob. fort a few hours now.  Is anyone else having it or know how to fix it?

Sounds like a re-install to me.  Can you get to the launcher enough to try to repair?

Like collider mentioned, run the repair.exe for wow first and see how that helps.

repair won't run...it says that I have no internet access.  I'm able to get on on my laptop though so it's not an internet problem either.  Think I could copy the WoW from the laptop to the desktop?

I would give that a try. I know we've done it over the years and it has worked fine just copying the folder. I'd also see what you can dig up in the tech support forums if you haven't already, anytime I've had an issue there is usually a few threads going. Including dc'ing on Thorim.

Have you installed a new firewall recently or has Windows Firewall reset in a manner which causes it to lock you out of internet access to WoW?

Can you connect with other exterior programs besides a browser, such as Steam or other such programs?

Lastly delete the "launcher.wtf" in your WTF folder, if it's corrupted it tends to mess with your connection to the entire game. =/

I've installed nothing new nor have I updated my firewall.  Quicken and utorrent still work.  I'm just gonna copy my laptops version before raid
