Pre-ordered the CE.  I went to Toys R Us as Cinna has all of the stuff in her storeroom now, just to smell the guide book.  The guide book is almost as big as Skyrim's.

I am preparing to spend weeks taking back Earth and furiously masturbating.  In tandem.

Oh, would you look at that.  Didn't they try something similar with DA2 and it caused an uproar?

Just finished my run through.  Anyone else think the ending was super lazy? I did my first on hardcore with intent to do a fresh insanity run now but idk.  At least gameplay was thick solid tight.

The From Ashes companion is pretty overpowered as well. He makes packs of anything look like a joke.

How does his special ability work, dark pact or whatever? Does it setup or detonate for biotic explosions like reave?

I did infiltrator again(yea I know vanguards are gods now) with reave as the special ability along with mostly using Liara and garrus/kaiden. I'd use the from ashes companion but I need a shield buster unless I go with energy drain as my special ability.

Also, my reaction to the endings:

Also, better ending:

Finished my full paragon playthrough last night.  Given the nature of how the game ends, I have a hard time seeing how any choice you make in any of the 3 games will change that ending, at least with the option I chose.  It was bleak.

Perhaps alternate plays will give me perspective.  And in truth, my ending was very close to that secret ending, Waz.

Game had a helluva lot more story-based missions, which I really liked.  I dislike how you get less companion based content overall, though.  Action was great.  Combat was the best it's been.  9/10.

There is a relatively decent amount of variance up to the ending with who lives and dies which is interesting to see.

I did some poking around and unfortunately the only things you can unlock ending wise are a small scene with either a new game+/import char which is the boy and his father scene in winter and the war assets themselves unlock the 3 options.

I've actually read the indoctrination theory which makes more sense than the endings we were given, especially given the way "destroy" option turns out.

Hrm.  Now that we've tagged this with spoiler i don't feel so bad.  I like the ending, I do.  It's just the way it ends makes it feel like every choice made was pretty pointless.

Deaths in my playthrough
Definitely die:
Mordin
Legion
Thane
Anderson

Maybe die:
Garrus - he was with me during the rush to the beam.  No where to be found after the explosion and did not show up in the brief ending cinematic.

What did you have Waz?
