I'm excited.  Probably #3 on my most-wanted list right now, right behind Deus Ex 3 and Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, Skyrim looks pretty awesome - definitely pumped about that one.  Dragon Age 2 comes out next Tuesday, so that'll be on the list.

And there's a new game called Darkspore - have you heard of this one?  It's made by Maxis and uses the Spore creature engine.  Effectively, it's Diablo meets Pokemon.  Dungeon crawl sort game - randomized loot, tiered progression levels, etc but you get to equip the loot in the spore creature creator and paint and customize your guy like in spore.  The weird thing is you don't just play one character.  There are hundreds of characters, each with 5 skills, and you make teams to cross skills for max effectiveness.

Was able to get into the beta and played it for a half hour or so over the weekend, very fun.

Oh, and fair warning.  Deus Ex 3 is being made by SquareEnix and has nothing to do with Warren Spector.  The length at which those guys can go to fuck something up knows no bounds.

When my son starts going to bed before raid would start.  We finally have him on some semblance of a schedule as he goes to bed about midnight every night and for the most part sleeps till about 8am.  The other 16 hours though the little man is nearly inconsolable - he's adorable but pretty fussy unless he's being held or carried.

I'm trying to determine a way to raid while soothing the baby, but the whole Doc Oct thing didn't work out so well for Alfred Molina, so...

Like in WoW, Ive got tons of mods for Skyrim. Mostly I use the mods to provide better immersion (mostly visuals), better quality of life improvements, fix the numerous bugs, and to fix sorely needed balancing issues. Here my mod list in alphabetical order:

-A Quality World Map
Adds roads to the world map, also allows paper style map replacement.
-Acquisitive Soul Gems
Quality of life improvement. Souls only go in appropriately sized gems and filled gems always stack and are priced consistently.
-Brynjolf Always Busy Fix
Simple bug fix that I haven't seen work yet. Brynjolf apparently has dialogue that cant be accessed because he never gets unbusy.
-Deadly Dragons
Makes Dragons more epic by making them much harder (2-6 times harder based on setting) and themed. Also optional additional end-game dragon loot and optional normal mob resistances and stats fixing/tweaking.
-Esbern Talk Fix
   Common bug confirmed fixed.
-Glowing Ore Veins
Quality of life improvement to make spotting ore more reasonable. Adjusts a layer of the ore vein model so it appears to glow, but does not give off light.
-Lydia Can Be Married
Bug fix. Lydia is tagged as a valid wife, but lacks the options to make it possible.
-Realistic Lighting With Customization
Very popular visual improvement mod. Uses little to no extra comp resources. Has several baseline settings in case the default makes caves and houses too dark.
-Realistic Ragdolls and Force
Fix so that an arrow that weighs several ounces doesnt send an elk flying 200 yards back. Also allows bodies to pile and clump more realistically to satisfy Nazis who say the piles of bodies in vanilla Skyrim weren't realistic.
-Remove Ambient Interior Fog
   Dumb fog messes with lighting.
-Resolving Muiri's problem
Bug fix. Muiri is otherwise unable to access wife dialogue because she only responds with gratitude for completing her quest.
-Revamped Exterior Fog
Dumb fog messes with realistic exterior visuals.
-Shadow Striping Fix
Bug fix. Many light sources were assigned bad lighting depth and casts weird looking shadows. This mod only changes those values to what they should be, no resource usage and doesnt mess with lighting mods.
-SKSE
Script extender required by some mods.
-Skyrim HD - 2K Textures
HD textures, some better than Bethesda DLC. DLC covers gaps in this texture pack. Includes bad ass starry sky.
-SkyUI
Very popular UI for items/spells window. Much larger scope, so less scrolling. Sortable by categories including value weight ratio and stolen. Needs SKSE for full function.
-Sounds of Skyrim - The Dungeons
Immersion; adds ambient sounds to dungeons.
-Sounds of Skyrim - The Wilds
Immersion; adds ambient sounds to outdoors.
-Trees for Solitude
Immersion; adds more trees to solitude. Looks great. Adds plants not from region, hardly noticeable.
-Weapons and Armor Fixes
Balance fix. Corrects the massive amounts of obvious typos in item stats, tags, and names.
-WhiterunTrees
Immersion; adds more trees to Whiterun. Looks AMAZING with lighting mods. Adds deciduous trees instead of the region's pines, definately not lore friendly.

Why on earth would you add the ragdoll physics mod.  The single most satisfying thing in Skyrim, bar none, is when you snipe a bitch from 40 yards in stealth and they go flying 30 feet from the impact of the arrow.

Fuck yeah.  I shoot fucking freight trains.

War in Skyrim is great because you get to see giants tossing mages and bandits at dragons like they are nerfs.
