I tried both DH and Monk and really did not enjoy either.  Sad as I've always been a rogue/amazon sort of Diablo player.

So, some friends and I are going to play Diablo3 with the intention of doing Inferno.

Right now, we're sort of in the process of figuring out how to organize (if you played beta, you know how abysmal the chat functions are) so we're toying with the idea of either a skype conference chat or kicking it old school and trying irc (ok, I admit it, I'm the ONLY one that wants irc, but I'm old leave me alone).

So, we're -- meaning half a dozen of us or so -- are on QuakeNET in #babypenguins, for anyone that might be looking for people to play with.

I HIGHLY highly highly suggest group leveling.  The ease of our 2xDH, Monk, Barb group is just night and day compared to solo/duo teams we've run while others were offline.

My current lvl 29 Wizard build:

Long range: vanilla (all I have atm)blizzard front end of pack
Running in at medium range: start cooking low-cost (best I have atm) blastwave
Close range: low cooldown frost nova
During frost nova stun: spam explosion-on-kill shock pulse and blastwave should pop

Able to explode 3-4player packs of mobs solo with that combo.

Single target: ramp-up-damage frost beam

Passives: lower cooldown, and glass cannon

gear:

top priority: +damage, intellect
high priority: magic find, vitality
medium priority: gold find, +xp, +pick-up radius
low priority: attack speed, move speed, armor
dont care: rest of stats



If I can pick up another 20 max arcane power, I will probably switch from blizzard so i can double tap meteor.


And it turns out that d3 teleport is nothing like d2 teleport. Its line of sight only, you cant even hop over a wall.
