Thanks for the excellent and insightful comments, Xallan and Skwis. I was big into Protoss in the original SC. Looks like they've really refined what was already a great game. Looking forward to trying it out.

Never having played SC, Leman - I can say SC2 is pretty damn fun.  So far it seems to be a masterpiece of the "Easy to learn, difficult to master" mentality.  I'm bloody terrible at it, and still having fun with the single player campaign.

Overrun is by far the best defense game they have so far, although are you playing the original hard as balls version or the newer one?

Still waiting for a functional RPG  Sad

Guessing the newer version, but several units had their damage reduced (tanks esp), so doesn't seem very easy.

SoTIS is a decent map too, there is a lot of balancing issues but in the end its pretty much the items that will win a fight.

Rush to get stun hammer as a ranged class and win. Build up from ganking enemy heros one at a time to controlling the whole map. Then get the big attack speed items followed by +dmg items. By game's end im spawn killing the other team while destroying their base HQ. M M M M M Monster Kill!

The stalker one is really item dependent but pretty much can rape an entire team once he gets items considering he can attack 5 targets at the same time. He's pretty much a farmer tho, he has no damaging abilities and has a teleport to anywhere on the map on a 30s cd when maxed and can trap people in a wall similar to the way Furion did in Dota.

9 pylon
10gate
pump probes
extractor
cyber soon as possible
2nd gate
2nd extractor
robo
3rd, 4th gateway

pump 4-5 zealots, 1-2 sentries, rest stalkers
+1 observer, if they are committing to ground then pump immortals.

Push before they can get a significant air army.  If they go siege mode then do an immortal drop with 5+ warp gates and fuck them from behind and push with your main force when they respond.  Against zerg I find that cheesing them with a cannon rush followed up with zealots is best.  Lock down the zerg's natural and zealots will overwhelm them.

Most platinum players are pretty bad, especially terrans.  If you run into a terran that does the destiny cloud fist opener you're screwed.  I have yet to figure out how to beat it Sad

So...you are a H to the usky fan as well...I've been watching since during beta phase 1.

I do pretty much the same build minus the robo, which I should be getting because I need to get in the habit of getting those observers pretty quick.

I usually get a stargate instead to pick up an early void ray against Zerg or Terran. Charge it up on the refinery/extractor and it can solo a queen or the few marines they have.
